Stephen Jacques grew up North of Boston in Malden, MA
and Swampscott, MA.
When his grandmother gave him a transistor
radio in 1971 he was 8 years old. "The first songs I remember were Don
MClean's -American Pie and Zager and Evans -In the Year 2525". "WRKO and
WMEX were your only AM Radio choices back then"!
Spoon fed on Elvis Presley, dancing and singing on the kitchen table to Tom
Jones, the Four Seasons and Englebert Humperdink from his Mothers record
collection he soon turned to Rock N Roll music. “I’m a sucker for sweet Soul
Music as well as singer songwriters like Bob Seger. His music is timeless.
He soon joined his first band with his still to this day high school best
friends in the late 1970's.
40 years later we still see each other often.
Later as a teenager his Older Sister Lisa went to see Bob at The Orpheum in
Boston. She then turned him on to Bob Segers records and brought him to the
1980 Nine Tonight tour at the Garden which some was recorded in Boston for
his live album.
"I was hooked"
His house was the place where everyone gathered to listen to his extensive
record collection of 70's music including Motown, Staxx , Otis Redding,
Wilson Pickett and bands like Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk Railroad as well as
Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top , Aerosmith, Heart, The Rolling Stones,
The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn and many more great artists. The
Jacques home was the place to hear great music!
Once Bob Seger entered the picture the turntables played the Live Bullet and
Nine Tonight albums on constant rotation.
Recently Stephen and his good friends Joe Collins and his brother John
Collins with Mike Boucher and drummer John Reynolds have been writing
original songs and playing Soul music covers in a band called Soulfull based
North of Boston.
Stephen has also fronted many bands and projects singing and playing
harmonica all over Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
In 2012 Stephen found the band he was "looking for all his life, LIVE
“Being able to perform Bob Seger's songs with the Live Bullet Band is a
dream come true."
"I have never met a bunch of guys more professional and dedicated to a
project and look forward to bringing this show to the fans."
After performing his first song on stage with Live Bullet, Stephen is quoted
as saying: "I would like to thank Andy for quitting the band."
And the journey begins.......
Stephen lives in Danvers, MA with his wife Laurie of over 20 years and his
daughter Tahlia. "They both give me the support that drives me and without
them the journey means nothing."
"I can't wait to see what this band does next!"
